Eastern State Penitentiary is a photographic series that documented light and atmosphere that was so integral in the construction of the prison. The quaker creators wanted to create and an environment of meditation and reflection but instead many of the prisoners found it to be quite agitating and disquieting. The series was shot on Kodak Ektachrome in 2004 and printed on Fuji Cystal Archive paper.
